BCHW 501(c)(3) Guidelines and Reporting

BCHW Chapter Treasurers are the front line of defence in the efforts to keep us out of trouble!

1. Basic 501(c)(3) Guidelines

For BCHW Treasurers;
Before ANY Transaction, Ask Yourself:

Is this transaction legal?
Does it support the BCHW mission?
Are there funds available for this transaction?
Does this transactions serve a public interest, not a private one?
Is there clear supporting documentation to justify the transaction?
Will there be a clear record of the transaction?
Could this transactions jeopardize BCHW's Tax-Exempt Status?
Could this transaction give the impression of misuse of funds?
Will this transaction be reported to BCHW for the annual report?
